We like to change the decoration of the house to match the weather outside. If you happened to visit us during the different seasons, you noticed it, we’re sure of it.
When is autumn decoration done?
In September and October, it’s time to collect clams, turnips, sand, the blue cases… It’s time to take out the amber change. The cushions in the living room change their clothes from navy blue to orange. The foxes and the forest dwarf appear. More candles are lit and lanterns are on every terrace. The chrysanthemums are blooming. The flowers are in their second apogee after withstanding the August heat.
What does an autumn decoration contain?
There are a few absolute must-haves that emphasize fall idyll and coziness.
- Fire – a reminder that we are moving into colder weather. This, of course, is the candles in the first place. But this time let them be in the orange-brown range or pumpkin and cinnamon flavored. There are already some in stores, you just have to look. And the lanterns have their place in the home charm.
- Pumpkins – Recently it has become so fashionable to be made of fabric or knitted. If you don’t have it, this is an opportunity to renovate your home. Or let’s take a practical approach and buy small edible varieties that we will be able to eat with pleasure in the end. You can get two ideas for two flavors from 1 pumpkin.
- Chrysanthemums or other fresh autumn flowers – are now sold everywhere, they are available in every major grocery chain. You can choose sunny yellow or deep burgundy. They bring a lot of freshness to our everyday life.
- Pillows and blankets – they should again be in the warm autumn range. That way, even if it’s cold or slightly gloomy outside. Inside the room it will be warm and caressing.
- And last but not least, but this is how it turned out, are all kinds of decorative elements, such as our foxes, cups for hot drinks in the shape of pumpkins, tealighters, orange napkins, autumn leaves, chestnuts, walnuts…
The house is transformed, the fireplace is loaded and just waiting for us to strike a match. During this stage of the year, our guests will be able to enjoy home comfort and rural idyll.
